However, a newcomer, Isoroku, appears to have a secret agenda and seeks information on the American fleet. The atmosphere suddenly changes when the Japanese fleet attacks Pearl Harbor. Danny dies in action, leaving Rafe devastated. Meanwhile, Evelyn realizes that she has unintentionally provided information to a Japanese infiltrator. After the battle, Evelyn and Commander Marshall struggle to manage the situation, while Rafe’s fate remains uncertain. The story is a mix of drama, action, romance, with cynical and sarcastic undertones having the war conflict which profoundly influences the personal relationships of the various characters.
